How does the Camino Team work together?
The Camino Team—Araceli Jonsson, Tricia Horne, Kim Pyle and Jeanine Tiemeyer—is committed to guiding clients through a collaborative process of growth. We have discovered that by working as a team, our consultants can bring a variety of perspectives into your college admissions process. Some of your meetings will be with just one team member, but at a few special meetings, two of us will show up for you, so at all times you have at least two Camino experts who know you well and guide your process.
Our clear documentation practices provide information to the whole Camino Team as well as your family, so we can all be up-to-date on your process. The Camino folder becomes a shared space where we track a student’s process so that all team members can keep our clients moving forward.
We guide clients to college admissions success by prioritizing:
1) Student mental health
2) College Fit—Social, Academic, Financial, Developmental
3) Growth of organizational follow-through and grit.
Though prestige and college reputation may play into the selection criteria for many families, we try to widen the lens to include colleges that are on stable ground financially, offer generous merit aid, and provide the educational experience our clients seek.
We help students find the right mix of colleges, majors and financial aid to ensure a good match for todays hopes and tomorrow’s goals. The process is uniquely tailored to each client’s needs.
Using Camino’s proven process, we strengthen our clients’ efforts to grow their leadership, access their wisdom to choose the right major, chase enriching experiences, and build essays and personal statements which will convey who they are, what they care about, and how they can contribute to educational settings.
All Camino-certified Independent Consultants on our team have completed the IECA Summer Training institute, maintain Associate Memberships in IECA, and abide by IECA’s Principles of Good Practice:
